This Privacy Policy describes how QikStream ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the QikStream platform, including the mobile application, web dashboard, and live map — collectively referred to as the "Service".

Email address — Required for account creation and authentication. We use a one-time password (OTP) sent to your email — no password is stored.

Location data — When you explicitly enable location sharing and grant the necessary permissions, the app collects your GPS position — including while the app runs in the background or the screen is locked. Your current location is published on the public live map at https://map.qikstream.com. You can stop sharing at any time from within the app.

Social media links (optional) — You may voluntarily add links to external platforms (YouTube, Kick, Twitch, Instagram). These are displayed publicly on your profile.

Streaming data — Live video and audio streams are relayed through our servers in real time and are not recorded or stored.

• To authenticate you and maintain your account.
• To display your live location on the public map when location sharing is active.
• To archive your location history for your personal review (see Section 4).
• To relay your live stream to viewers in real time.

Location — live visibility — Your position is shown on the public map while location sharing is active. It is automatically hidden 30 minutes after your last recorded activity.

Location — archive — Location data is retained for 6 months after recording. During this period it is accessible only to you via your account and is not publicly visible. After 6 months it is permanently deleted.

Account data — Your email address and any optional profile information are retained for as long as your account remains active.

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal data to third parties.

The Service runs on a privately operated VPS (Virtual Private Server) under our full control. No analytics, advertising, or tracking services from third parties are used.

The following information is publicly visible when you choose to share it:

• Your live location on the map (only when location sharing is enabled).
• Social media profile links you have added voluntarily.
• Your live stream (when broadcasting).

The mobile app may request the following permissions:

• Location (foreground & background) — to track and publish your position when location sharing is active.
• Camera & Microphone — to capture and stream live video and audio.

All permissions are optional and can be revoked at any time in your device settings. Revoking a permission disables the corresponding feature.

All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Access to servers and databases is restricted and protected. While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data.
• Withdraw consent for location sharing at any time via the app.

The Service is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from individuals under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at info@qikstream.com.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be published on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
